Get started in five steps
- Install ShiftProof through your authorised Google Play testing invitation.
- Enter a job label, currency and hourly rate. Set overtime and premiums from your contract; the defaults are examples, not legal rules.
- Use Add shift to record each shift's date, start, finish and unpaid break. A finish before the start is treated as the following day.
- When your payslip arrives, open Check pay, select the period and enter gross earnings before tax and deductions.
- Review the result and its assumptions before contacting payroll. Use Share summary if you want to send the figures yourself.
Backup and restore
Open Insights → Export to share a plain JSON backup through Android. Save it somewhere private. To restore, open Insights → Import and paste a valid ShiftProof backup. Import replaces existing records after validation. Backups are not password protected.
Change rules or erase records
Insights → Edit pay rules updates future shifts. Existing shifts retain their saved rules. Insights → Delete local data asks for confirmation before removing the profile, shifts and checks. Uninstalling or clearing app storage can also remove records.
Troubleshooting
If an estimate differs, confirm gross versus net pay, the date range, missing shifts, breaks and contract-specific overtime rules. The app requires Android 7.0 or later and a functioning Android System WebView. Core calculations work offline. Google Play services and internet connectivity are needed for ads and consent updates.
