ShiftProof privacy policy
ShiftProof is provided by WorkinVirtual Private Limited. Contact: support@workinvirtual.com. This policy covers the ShiftProof Android app, including its Google advertising software.
Your shift and pay records
The app stores your job label, currency, pay rules, shifts, private notes, gross-pay comparisons and settings in its local Android WebView storage. These records are not sent to a ShiftProof server. There is no ShiftProof account, login, cloud synchronisation, payslip upload or bank connection.
Google advertising and consent
The app includes Google Mobile Ads SDK 25.5.0 and Google's User Messaging Platform. When ads or related services run, Google may collect and share device/account identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, app interactions and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. The app does not send your entered wage, shifts or notes to Google. Ads are limited to History and Insights.
Consent and ad availability depend on your region and Google's configuration. Where applicable, Google displays a consent message. Use Insights → Ad privacy choices to review available choices. You may also use Android's advertising privacy settings. If consent cannot be obtained, ads may be unavailable; core functions remain available.

Sharing and backups
Sharing a report or backup is your choice and uses Android's share sheet. The receiving app or service then handles that copy under its own policy. JSON backups are not encrypted by ShiftProof. Protect copies like other sensitive work records. The app does not include its WebView work-record database in Android cloud backup or device transfer; export a backup before changing devices.
Deletion and retention
Use Insights → Delete local data to erase the app's profile, shifts and checks. Records remain on the device until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall. Deleting local data does not erase backups you previously shared, support emails or information Google independently retains. Manage those copies with their recipients or providers. No account deletion process is required because no account exists.
Security and permissions
Core records remain within Android app storage. The app requests internet/network access for advertising and consent services and uses the advertising identifier permission for Google ads. It does not request contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, SMS or broad file access. SDK network transport follows Google's published security practices. Protect your phone with a screen lock and current system updates.
Support, age and changes
If you email support, we receive your email address and what you choose to send. We use that information to answer and resolve your request; ask us to remove a support message when no longer needed. ShiftProof is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Material changes to data handling will be reflected here and in the Google Play disclosures.
